1932 - 2013
Don Reichert (1932-2013) was born in Libau, Manitoba. At the University of Manitoba, Don studied Liberal Arts and played football for the Winnipeg Rods. In 1953, after a short training stint with the Blue Bombers, Reichert enrolled in the School of Art and studied with important figures such as W.A. McCloy and Cecil Richards. He went on to teach at the School of Art at University of Manitoba for 23 years. His work can be found in public and private collections across Canada.
