Tom Hunt

Tom Hunt began carving in the Kwakiutl artistic tradition, beginning as an apprentice carver at the young age of 12. He began learning from his father, Hereditary Chief George Hunt, and later from his grandfather, Sam Henderson, in the Nakwaxda’xw tradition. He has assisted notable carvers such as Susan Point alongside cultivating his own artistic practice.
